Artist Bio
Jacqueline Barton is a multidisciplinary artist from Dracut, Massachusetts, working primarily in ceramics and jewelry. Currently studying psychology and visual arts at Roger Williams University, Barton explores the whimsical imagination of childhood and the emotional connection between art and play. Her pieces evoke the beauty of the New England coast, specifically a tribute to the island of tides, treasures, and memories where the spirit of discovery is closely woven into coastal life, Long Island, ME.
Barton now balances her creative practice with leadership as a Captain of the RWU Gymnastics Team and as a gymnastics coach at A2 gymnastics in Salem, NH, where she fosters creativity and confidence in young athletes. She has earned the Academic Excellence Award (2024) and has been named to the Dean’s List every semester. Barton plans to pursue a career in art therapy, combining her love of art and her passion for helping others reconnect with joy and self-expression. She is preparing to work as an art teacher assistant at Mt. Hope Highschool in Bristol, RI and is developing her first children’s book. Through all her endeavors, Barton seeks to inspire wonder, play, and emotional growth through art.
